“I have been fishing traditionally all my life, embracing the art and patience it requires. In September 2024, I discovered the world of fly tying while attending the local Acadiana Fly Rodders monthly Bugs and Brews and was instantly hooked. The first fly I ever tied was the Black Boudreaux, under the guidance of Mr. Ray Boudreaux, who led the event that night. My journey with fly fishing began during my time in Scouting as a youth. However, as life happened and I started a family, my passion for fly fishing fell to the wayside. At the end of 2024, I rekindled my passion for this captivating sport. I love tying interesting fly patterns and have started honing my skills in rod building and fly tying. My goal for 2025 is to improve my fly casting skills, aiming to become a more proficient and skilled fly fisher.”
