ARKLATEXOMA (ALTO) Fly Tyers

 A Celebration of the Little Missouri River

 February 6– 8,2025 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas

At the Murfreesboro Municipal Building, 204 E. Main Street (same location as last year).

Admission is FREE to all

Join ALTO members for a weekend of tying, fishing, fellowship and fun.  We will have expert tyers, vendors, seminars, and raffles!

We welcome all tyers to demonstrate their skills and also to help with instruction at a “beginners’ table”.  We want this to be an all-inclusive event open to the most advanced tyers as well as beginning tyers that want to tie their first fly.  In addition to some exceptional tyers, we will have several FFI Certified Casting Instructors available for some beginner instruction, or if your cast just needs a little tune up!

Tyers and presenters are asked to bring a new (or slightly used) item to contribute to the raffle!

 We have made arrangements with the Queen of Diamonds Motel for an ALTO Special. You must CALL (877.336.3105) for the special!!!!

$84.00/night with no breakfast Code FF84 or

$94.00/night with breakfast Code FF94.  

The motel is a 3 minute drive to the venue and about 20 minutes to the river.

Friday Feb 6th

• 12pm- Doors Open

• 12- 5pm- Tyers set-up and event begins

• 5pm- Dinner Pizza  ($2/slice)

• 5:30pm- State of the River Report- Arkansas Game and Fish Commission

• 6:30pm- until- Gather around the campfire (weather permitting), or inside cabin, at Swaha Lodge and Marina, 205 Dynamite Hill Rd., Murfreesboro (Cabin location given at event Friday.)

Saturday Feb 7th 

• 7:15am- Door Open/Breakfast available (Murfreesboro 4-H)

• 9:30am- Spoon Fly Demonstration- Don Lawler

• 11:00am- Everything you ever needed to know about Rod Caddies- Randy Hainen

• 12-2pm Lunch- on your own and/or food truck on-site

• 11am-4pm- Sweet and Salty Food Truck On-Site

• 2:00pm- Trout Fishing in Missouri- Jon Tupper & Greg Ester

• 3:30pm- Raffle begins

• ** 4:30pm- Deer Hair Techniques Demo- Kenneth Bohanan  (cancelled due to family issues)

• 5:00pm-  Dinner on you own

Sunday Feb 8th

• Early Morning Fishing or sleep in

• 10:30am- Send off Devotion- Brady Gage

• 12:00pm- Event Ends
